
Do you have challenges with food? I sure do!
Ever since my childhood, I’ve struggled with my weight. And, since my early 20’s, I’ve also had to deal with a number of painful digestive disorders!
My frustration left me wanting to know what was truly best for me. So, I went to my Creator!
What I found was pretty interesting!
Turns out that we were initially designed to be vegetarians! However, after the flood, our Creator lovingly opened the door to other foods…
Bear in mind that He too gave strict outlines as to what we can and cannot eat. These foods He considered either clean or unclean.
Simply put, if it doesn’t grow, graze or scratch and peck, we don’t eat it! Oh, and our food must be able to swim as well! 😉
By keeping these wholesome ingredients on hand, we are able to create nutritious meals that are stress free and easy to make! And, it helps keep the pain my troublesome digestive disorders cause me at bay!
Furthermore, for those between meal times, I like to keep fresh fruit on hand. This seems to appease those pesky sweet tooth cravings!
Unfortunately, I struggle to be able to plan a weeks’ worth of meals ahead of time like some do. However, I do at least try to plan a few days in advance. I find this helps me improve my chances of sticking to our sensible eating plan!
What’s interesting is that our chosen lifestyle on our little homestead on wheels seems to mimic what our Creator already sanctioned!
Even more interesting is that many of the foods declared unclean back in the day, are now considered to be unhealthy by todays nutritionists! Pretty interesting, right?!?
